We understand your questions

Do you struggle with

  • New parts, used parts, tyres, batteries: is that one activity or several?
  • Whether you can add accessories to the same license later?
  • How big a warehouse you really need, and what it costs once everything is added?
  • Whether you can sell to a garage that calls from Dubai or Sharjah?
  • Whether JAFZA is really free of VAT and duty for your parts?
  • How many visas you will get for your storekeeper, salesman or driver?
  • Three quotes, three prices, and only one of them includes the warehouse?

JAFZA requirements

Setting up a parts company the JAFZA way

What JAFZA's own guide says a new company goes through, in plain words for parts traders.

1. Pick a company type

JAFZA's main company types are:

  • FZE if you are the only owner
  • FZCO if there are two owners or more
  • Branch if your parts company already exists elsewhere

2. Choose where your stock lives

Every JAFZA license needs a facility. For parts, the usual choices are:

  • A warehouse for your racks and pallets
  • An office
  • A desk or workstation for a smaller start
  • Shared space from another JAFZA company, once JAFZA agrees

3. Follow JAFZA's four stages

  • Interest: JAFZA hears about your plans
  • Application: filled in online and reviewed by JAFZA
  • Facility: a space is offered and held with a booking fee
  • Handover: keys, company papers and your Dubai Trade login

4. Get your papers ready

Every owner and manager will usually need:

  • A KYC-UBO form for each owner
  • A copy of each passport
  • A sponsor NOC for anyone living in the UAE

Some setups also need:

  • Owner resolutions and company articles
  • An EHS declaration for a warehouse or shared space

FAQ

Questions people ask us

Can I start the setup from outside the UAE?

Yes, most of the early paperwork can be done from your home country. A short visit is usually needed later, for things like your visa and medical. We plan that visit with you.

Is a warehouse compulsory for a parts business?

A facility is compulsory. Whether it should be a warehouse, an office or a desk depends on your stock and how you sell. We look at this with you first.

Can I trade new and used parts under one license?

That comes down to the activities on your license. We list what you sell now and what you may add later, before anything is applied for.

When will my company be ready?

Every file moves at its own pace, depending on the facility and approvals involved. After our first call, we share a realistic picture for your case.

Do you also set up in other free zones?

No. We work in JAFZA and nowhere else. If a different free zone suits your parts business better, we say so honestly.

What happens once the license is issued?

That is where our role ends. Sourcing, freight, customs and sales are your side of the business, and you know them best.
